The youngest of 9 children of Svante Johansson and Fredricka Anderson, , Edith was the great-grandmother of Jay Hannah, was born in Pleasant Plain, Iowa on Sep 28, 1890 and married Henry Stark (with whom she had 2 children: Henry Harley , Jr and Macil Marine) in Jefferson Co., Iowa on Mar 25, 1914.

She died on Dec 3, 1975 in Fairfield, Iowa1.
