At a recent session of the federal court, a juror had qualificationswhich made him a curiosity about the government buildings. His nameisGeorge Bunker, and he hails from a farm six miles from Salem. He hadnever been on a railroad train before starting to Keokuk in response to hesummons of the United States. He has driven to Mt. Pleasant a number oftimes, and once in his life drove to Ft. Madison, but that is the limitof his travels. He is married has two children, and by staying at homeand attending to business has become the owner of a fine farm of aquarter section of land.
