Iowa, USA on Mar 31, 1857 and was married twice - to Sarah Bunker (on Apr 21, 1881 in Henry Co., Iowa) Mary Courter (on Nov 19, 1889). He had 3 children with Sarah Bunker: John Robert, Raymond Franklin and Sarah Anna.

He died on Dec 15, 1942 in Henry Co., Iowa, USA (y).

Last Saturday Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Hannah gave a New Year dinner to their friends and relatives, at their home east of town. It was a large, jolly crowd, and both old and young had a good time. Those present were Messrs. John Hannah and wife, W.P. Collins and wife, W.K. Bunker and family. J.W. Kerr of Lowell; Mrs.Shannon and Mrs. Hamilton, of Horton Kas., Mrs. Mary Hannah of Winfield,Ia.

Mrs Shannon and Mrs. Hamilton , of Horton, Kas., are visiting at the home of their brother, W.K. Bunker.

Tuesday of last week while Frank Hanna was carrying a load of baled hay, he fell off the wagon and broke his hip bone. He was removed to his homeand surgical aid was summoned, and at last accounts seemed to be getting along all right.

Salem News October 19, 1916

JACKSON TWP.- Oct. 16.- A telegram message Sunday brought the sad news of the death of George Hannah , a cousin of B.F. Hannah and brother-in-law of Wm. Collins of Salem. He resided near Somerset, Neb.,and had been to Omaha with cattle. He with ten others were killed in arailroad wreck.

Benjamin Hannah

Salem, Iowa - Benjamin Franklin Hannah, oldest son of John and Catherine Seaton Hannah, was born March 31, 1857, on the farm in Jackson township, Henry county, where Milo Kudobe now lives, and departed this life onDecember 15, 1942 at 11:15 a.m. ate he well rounded age of 85 years,8months and 15 days. He grew to manhood on this farm and married to Angeline Bunker on April 21, 1881 she having preceded him in death on July 1 1918.

Three children were born to this union, Raymond and Mrs. Anna Hunting, both of whom live near his home and John, who passed away Jan. 17, 1923. Of the brothers and sisters, three are yet living. John of Morning Sun, Robert of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Jennie Pickard near his home. Martha, George, Mary, Owen and Anna having passed away before him.

After the death of his first wife, he was married to Mary Courter Hannah on October 11, 1919. She besides the two children, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, remain to mourn his departure. "Uncle Frank" as most of his neighbors and friends knew him was of very rugged constitution and with the exception of failing eyesight was strong until about 10 days before his death when bronchial pneumonia attacked him. He was converted at a meeting at Donaldson Chapel when he was young in life and remained a faithful member of this church to the last. He with his wife was of the few faithful members who still attended the meeting for worship when held in the neighborhood.

The funeral services were held at the residence in Jackson township, Thursday, Dec. 17, 1942 with the Rev. B. G. Hankins of Mt. Pleasant officiating. Miss Dorothy Pickard and Mrs. Marguerite Pefferman sang the selections and burial was in the Friend's cemetery, with the pallbearers:J. E. Frary, L. T. Frary, Dewey Pickard, E. J. Becker, Wm. Rich and ChrisRich.

WILL LEAVES ESTATE

TO HANNAH RELATIVES

B. F. Hannah left his estate to his wife and children by the terms of his will made in 1926 and admitted to probate here Monday. He left one-third to his wife and the remainder to his son, Raymond, his daughter, Anna Hunting and to the six children of the son, John. Raymond was named executor.

Witnesses to the will were F. S .Finley and E. E. Barr.
