The child of Richard Williams and Prudence Beals, , Charity was the 5 times great-grandmother of Jay Hannah, was born in Prince George, MD on May 6, 1750 and married William Hiatt (with whom she had 11 children: Joel, Benjah, Isom, Prudence, Rachel, Ruth, Silas, Esther, Asher, Amer and Rebecca) in New Garden MM, Guilford Co., NC on May 17, 1769.

She died on Jul 14, 1801 in Orange Co., VA.
