The 9th of 15 children of (Teis) Matthias Sappenfield and Christina Grimes, Christina was the five times great-aunt of Jay Hannah, was born in Parke Co., Indiana on Nov 20, 1827. She married John Livingood in Indiana on Oct 4, 1855.

She died on Mar 11, 1889 in Parke Co1.
