Robert Jay Long, 57, of Salem, died at 9:10 p.m. Friday, June 9, 1989,at the veteran's Administration Medical Center, Iowa City.
Born March 25, 1932, in Salem, he was the son of Grover and LuellaMiller Long.
He was a carpenter.
Surviving are one brother, Harold Long, Covington, La. three sisters,Mrs. Dorothy Watson, Cambridge, Idaho., Mrs. Liberta Taylor, Roseville,Ill., Mrs. Jean Brombaugh, Stockport.
Visitation will be after noon Sunday with the family receiving friendsfrom 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home, MountPleasant.
The service for Mr. Long will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Salem FriendsChurch, with the Rev. Dwight Engel officiating. Burial will be in theSalem East Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for he Salem East Cemetery.
