Madison, IA on Aug 27, 1921.
She died on Jan 15, 1997 in Mapleleaf Health Center in Mount Pleasant and was buried in Salem East Cemetery after Jan 15, 1997.

Dora Marie Pickard, 98, of Mount Pleasant, died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday,Jan. 15, 1997, at Mapleleaf Health Center in Mount Pleasant.
Born Dec. 15, 1898, in Lee County, she was the daughter of Henry andMartha Pfister Hoyer. She married Dewey Pickard on Aug. 27, 1921, inLeeCounty. He died April 22, 1973.
She was a member of Salem Friends Church. She and her husband boughtthefamily farm in Jackson Township in 1922, where she lived until enteringthe nursing home in May 1989.
Surviving are four daughters, Marguerite Pefferman of Wayland, DorothyPayne of Mount Pleasant, Willadean Logan of Greenfield, Mo., and HelenWeeden of Knoxville, Tenn. a son, Richard Pickard of Salem; 11grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, twobrothers and a great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at Beatty Funeral Home inMount Pleasant. There will be no family visitation.
The funeral for Mrs. Pickard will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Salem FriendsChurch, with the Rev. Tom Palmer officiating. Burial will be in SalemEast Cemetery. A memorial to Salem Friends Church has been established.
