Mrs. Dale (Louva) Pickard, 50, Salem, died about 5:30 p.m. unexpectedlyat her home Wednesday, April 27, 1977.
She was born near Salem August 11,1926, the daughter of Hammer andSylvia Litton Bailey.
On August 11, 1944 she was married to Dale Pickard at Salem.
She was a member of the Salem Friends Church.
She was employed as a cook at the Marquette school in Houghton, Iowa.
She was a lifetime resident of the Salem community.
She is survived by her husband, Dale; two sons, Larry Pickard of Kalonaand Gene Pickard, San Jose, Costa Rica; three brothers, Merald Bailey,Salem, the Rev. Lawrence bailey, New Providence, Iowa, and Gary Bailey,Wilmore, Ky. three sisters, Mrs. Imogene Barnett, Salem, Mrs. Oliver(Beulah) Goldsmith, Salem and Mrs. Lester (Ruth) Hesseltine of Winfield;two grandchildren, Heather and Jeremy Pickard, and several nieces andnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sandra, on June5, 1965; an infant son, Tommie, and two sisters.
Funeral arrangements are pending from the Beatty-Jennings Chapel inSalem.
A memorial fund in memory of Mrs. Pickard has been established to theSalem Friends Church.
