The child of Richard Miller and Ann Miller, , Mason was the 3 times great-grandfather of Jay Hannah, was born in Sarahville, OH on Dec 7, 1842 and married Sarah Miller (with whom he had 4 children: Elmer, Kate, Marion and Lucy) in Ipavia, Fulton Co., IL on May 26, 1867.
He died on Feb 6, 1922 in Salem, Henry Co., IA and was buried in Salem East Cemetery after Feb 6, 1922.

OBITUARY
Mason B . Miller, son of Richard Isaac Miller and Ann Miller, was bornDec. 7, 1842 at Sarahville, Ohio.
He was married to Sarah A. Miller at Spavia, Ill. May 26, 1867, whopreceded him in death nineteen years ago. To this union four childrenwere born- Marion of Salem, Ia., Elmer of Vermont, Ill. Lucy living athome and Kate Halphin of Kansas City, Mo. Also six living grandchildrenand three great grandchildren.
Mr. Miller served in the Civil war, being a member of Co. B. 122 Ohiovolunteers. He was wounded in the battle of Winchester.
His father carefully taught him from God's Word and in early childhoodhe became a Christian. He was a member of the Friends church.
For twenty-six years he has made his home in Salem. He has been asufferer for four years, and for many months has been confined to his bed.
He passed quietly away Monday morning, Feb. 6.
The funeral services were held in the Friends church Tuesday afternoonconducted by the pastor. Interment in the east cemetery.
