The Stevens funeral home was filled with a large number of relativesand friends who came to attend the funeral services of Elmer Wright,heldSaturday at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Wright was a good neighbor and friend andthose of his community were in attendance at the services. He also had alarge circle of friends in Salem whom he visited when coming to town.
The three songs, "Abide With Me," "Grace Greater than My Sins," and"Abide With Me," were sung by Rev. and Mrs. Robert B. Rubart, accompaniedon the piano by Mrs. H. C. Garretson.
Elmer Ulysses Wright, son of George and Eliza Wright, was born in Henrycounty, Iowa, March 5, 1864 and died January 14, 1937 at the age of 72years, 10 mon. and 9 days. On April 3, 1899 he was united in marriagewith Alda Maria Armer, who preceded him in death 15 years ago. To thisunion, two children were born, George E. Wright, living at home withhisfather, and Mrs. Inez Wright Litzenberg of Chicago Ill. Besides thesethere remains a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
Interment was in the Cedar Friends cemetery in his home communitynorthwest of Salem and pall bearers were Sidney Smith, Carlos Trueblood,Ed Breazeale, Howard Brown, Lawrence mills and James Mills.
