John Short, 87, died at Memorial hospital Thursday at 10:40 a.m.
Born September 28, 1871, at Lowell ,he was the son of Thomas and Mary(Byers) Short. On January 23, 1923, he was married to Fannie Nagle inMt. Pleasant who survives.
He was predeceased by one sister, Frances LaBareck.
Mr. Short was engaged in farming in Henry county and moved to Mt.Pleasant after retiring in 1952. He was a member of the Christian churchand a past member of the I.O.O.F.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 5, atWeir-Cookes Funeral home. The Dr. E. A. Matthews will officiate.Interment will be at Forest Home cemetery.
