The 5th of 7 children of William Bunker and Rosella Virginia 'Rosa' Canady, , Charles was the first cousin three-times-removed on the father's side of Jay Hannah, was born in Jackson Twp., Henry Co., IA on Feb 10, 1884 and was married twice - to Edith Packer (on Jun 17, 1915 in Springfield, Greene Co. , MO) Florence Pease (on May 1, 1948 in Americus, Sumter Co., Georgia, following the death of Edith June on Nov 18, 1946). He had 2 children, both with Edith Packer: Mildred Norene and Mary Rosella.
He died in 1976 and was buried in Salem South Cemetery after 1976.

Mrs. Bunker, of Salem, mother of Dr. C.E. andClarence, arrived in the city on Monday morning to assist in the nursingof her son Charles and wife, both of whom have had a miserable week orten days. The doctor is down in bed with quinsy, and Mrs. Bunker'shealth is so bad that she was unable to care for her husband longer.
