MRS CORDELIA McINTOSH
Mrs. Cordelia McIntosh was born in Huntington County, Ind., June 8, 1846; moved with her parents to Henry County, Kansas; April 20, 1879; died March 29, 1924, aged 77 years, 9 months and 21 days. She is survived by her husband and five children, George McIntosh, Alex McIntosh and Mrs. R. F. Joy of Buckeye township. Mrs. John O'Loughlin and Mrs. George Balls of Hays; also two brothers, Hiram W. Byers of Hays and Perry Byers of Salem, Iowa; 41 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. McIntosh lived on a farm in Buckeye township for many years later moving to Hays where they built a comfortable home in the northwest part of the city. Mrs. McIntosh was a faithful wife and mother and will long be remembered in the community for her fine spirit of hospitality and readiness to lend a helping hand in sickness and sorrow. Funeral services were held at St. Michael's Episcopal church, and interment in Mount Allen cemetery.
