Patricia Cox
Patricia N. Cox, 70, of Burlington, died at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at Genesis West Medical Center in Davenport.
Born June 1, 1930, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Fred O. and Virginia Hannah Perrenoud. She married Maston W. Cox on July 12, 1953, in Winfield.
Mrs. Cox was a 1948 graduate of Winfield High School. She worked for Burlington Public Schools for 20 years and also worked part time at Younkers for 20 years and Sylvania for 10 years.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, PiRu Zeta Sorority, Ladies Moose Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary. She was active in the Boy Scouts for more than 15 years and received the Silver Fawn Award. She loved sewing, crocheting and quilting.
Survivors include her husband; two sons Darwin M. Cox of Moore, Okla., and Darryl E. Cox of Burlington; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Bourn of Burlington; and one brother, John A. Perrenoud of Farley.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will begin at noon today in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Cox will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Trevor Davis officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
