Nope, no POE at work, just for fun :)  (at CBS Sportsline we use 
apache/mod_perl).  Rocco Caputo, a member of SouthFlorida.pm, originally
designed POE to be a framework to run a MUD.  The core of the project
turned into POE (Perl Object Environment), but its really away to do
some very complex stuff with minimal effort.

The big hit is just testing out some of the sample scripts and wrapping
your head around it.
