Multirate
Now that single night bookings appear to be almost-completely-working, I suppose I'll dive into the multi-rate section of this project. --Jhannah 02:51, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
From: jmcpherson@micros.com Date: Saturday March 7, 2009 I followed up with RL (Red Lion). Basically, they allow the guest to book online only what they are entitled to - that is if they have a 1 night stay, thats all they can book. They can then call the res office and extend that and the agent would use DAILY DETAILS to book at another rate code. So theoretically, they could extend for additional nights and the additional nights could be all a BAR rate. Potentially, Jay could work this in using the multi rates in the OWS functionality. OWS Multi Rate Handling The following are the assumptions to consider in order for multiple rate code handling to work: 1. When sending a booking with multiple rate codes, all RatePlan elements must have correct dates that must be sent in the correct order. 2. All rate codes must have same currency code, room type, same number of adults and children 3. Booking with BAR rate codes must have all rate codes as BAR. 4. Cancellation, Deposit, Marketing text will be returned for first rate code in the booking response. 5. When booking is modified via WS, any change made that will affect availability, for example, change in number of adults, and/or change in number of children, room type, rate code or if the Stay dates are changed, a full overlay of RatePlans element must be sent by the OWS channels. Function/Parameter to be enabled: Not parameter driven Supported by: OWS (ORS and PMS),
