, the husband of Eunice Electa McVey (the first cousin three-times-removed on the father's side of Jay Hannah), was born on Feb 6, 1889. He married Eunice in Salem Twp., Henry Co., IA on Oct 2, 1913.

He died on Aug 29, 1951 and was buried in Salem South Cemetery after Aug 29, 1951.

Victor Huxley retuned last week from overseas, having received hishonorable discharge. Mr. Huxley left Salem Feb. 24, 1918, embarkingforFrance April 25. He was in actual service, being at the front forseventeen days with the 82nd division in the Argonne woods and at Touland Metz fronts. He came through without a scratch, was one of 156 toreturn out of his battalion of 1,000 men. He was confined to thehospital several weeks while in France with stomach trouble, but is nowlooking well.
