The 6th of 10 children of Samuel Schlief and Katherine Hoffman, , Christena was the three times great-aunt of Jay Hannah, was born in Peekskill, Westchester, New York on Jun 15, 1865. She married Orin Bowermaster in Jefferson Co., Iowa on Mar 22, 1883, which is also where she died on May 25, 19341.
