Otis H. Leffler, 76, Lockridge, died Wednesday, April 5, 1978, at HenryCounty Health Center.
He was born June 26, 1901, at Washington County, the son of GeorgeandNellie Houseal Leffler. On May 21, 1931, at Mt. Pleasant, He marriedRuth O. McVey. She survives.
A retired farmer, Mr. Leffler had farmed 42 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Ronald E. of Fulton,Ill., and Kenneth E. of San Marcos, Calif. three brothers, ArthurLeffler of Burlington, William Leffler of Columbus Junction and HomerLeffler of Tulsa, Okla. two sisters, Mrs. LaVerne Duncan of Muscatineand Mrs. Lorraine Humble of Cedar Rapids; half sister, Mrs. Bessie Hanftof Charleston, Ill. seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
His parents, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at Weir-Cookes Funeral Home, Mt.Pleasant, at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8. The Rev. Lenwood Monte, pastor ofthe First Augustana Lutheran Church, Lockridge, will officiate withinterment in the Salem East Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeralhome. Friends may call as they desire after noon Friday.
