A Serious Accident
James Bunker, of Jackson township, mounted one of his horses and rodeaway from home to attend the Garretson sale last week. On his way andnear the home of his uncle, Bill Collins, he guided his horse to onesideof the road, when by a mis-step the horse fell with the rider to theground, breaking both bones of his limb between the knee and ankle. Hecalled for help for some time after the accident, but his uncle, hearingthe screams thought it was some boys, gave it no attention. As the callscontinued and seemed to be near, he finally concluded to go and findoutwhat it meant. On discovering his nephew in such a helpless condition,had him removed to the house, where he received medical attention and isnow getting along as well as could be expected.
