Lucinda Macy was born in Wayne county, Indiana, Oct. 21, 1830; came toIowa in 1855 and settled near Salem, where she resided during her life inIowa.
Over fifty ears ago she gave her heart to God, and has been a faithfuland consistent member during that time, the M.E. church being the churchof her choice.
She died at the home of her sister in Salem, Mrs. Benj. Long, March 15,1909, aged 79 years, 5 mo., 13 days. She is survived by two sistersandthree brothers.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. church Tuesday at 2 p.m.,conducted by the pastor, Rev. G. W. Barber. Interment in M.E. cemetery.
