LEWIS CARLETON TRUEBLOOD
Lewis Carleton Trueblood son of Joshua and Mary Henshaw Trueblood,wasborn in Tippecanoe township, Henry County, Iowa, Dec. 11, 1872. Hepassed away in memorial hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa July 27, 1942,aged69 years, 7 months and 16 days.
Mr. Trueblood was a patient sufferer without complaint. At an earlyage his father passed away and he with his mother assumed theresponsibility of the farm. In late years, taking overly entire controland successfully carrying on the work until the passing of his mother in1900 when he took possession and has proven a good farmer and worthyneighbor, a staunch and dependable friend. In 1902 he was united inmarriage to Eva M .Long. To this union three children were born, HazelKruse, Mt. Pleasant; Lesly, Sioux City, and Wayne, Sacramento, Calif. Mr.Trueblood was a birthright Friend, active and sincere in the servicehehas rendered in the Cedar Creek Friends Church all his life.
An elder and member of the Pastoral board for many years sustaining aclose connection with the church and its interests until his lastsickness. His wife and family were with him during the last days caringfor him with compassion and tenderness until the end came. Carlie wasloved by all who knew him intimately.
Left to mourn his loss are his wife, and three children and threegrandchildren and a host of friends.
