COLUMBUS JUNCTION -- The driver of a car was killed Saturday after he wasthrown from his car after it left the road three miles northwest ofColumbus Junction.
Timothy L. Farrier, 22, Columbus Junction, was southbound on LouisaCounty Road X-17 about 5 a.m. when he lost control on a curve and wentinto a ditch.
The Iowa State Patrol said Farrier's car struck a driveway and becameairborne. When it landed, the car rolled and came to a stop on its top.
Farrier and a passenger in the car, Eric E. Farrier, 20, ColumbusJunction, were thrown from the car. Neither man was wearing a seat beltand the state police's report said it was unknown if it would have made adifference.
Eric Farrier was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals. An official therelate Saturday evening said the family was not releasing any informationabout his condition.
The state patrol did not indicate whether alcohol was involved in thecrash.

Timothy Farrier
Timothy L. Farrier, 22, of Columbus Junction, died Saturday, June 10,2000, as the result of an automobile accident west of Columbus Junction.
Born March 1, 1978, in Des Moines, he was the son of Ron and JulieEdwards Farrier.
Mr. Farrier worked at Hon in Muscatine, farmed with his parents and hadhauled grain for area farmers.
He was a 1997 graduate of Columbus High School and earned an associate'sdegree in farm management from Muscatine Community College.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Eric and Nathan Farrier, athome; one sister, Katie Farrier, at home; his paternal grandmother, LoisFarrier of Ainsworth; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Helen Edwardsof Ainsworth; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home inColumbus Junction.
The funeral for Mr. Farrier will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at UnitedPresbyterian Church in Columbus Junction. Burial will be in ColumbusCityCemetery.
A memorial has been established.
