She died on May 19, 1999 in Nelson Nursing Home, Fairfield, IA.

Mr. and Mrs. Owen Pickard announce the marriage of their oldestdaughter, Miss Selma Pickard to Earl Kennedy, soon of Mr. and Mrs. R. J.Kennedy of Mt. Union. The marriage took place at Kahoka, Mo. on January6th and the couple were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson ofWinfield.
Mrs. Kennedy is well known in Salem and Jackson township, the lattervicinity where she grew to womanhood. She attended the Mt. Pleasanthighschool and was a graduate of the class of 1939. Since then, she hasbeenemployed in Wapello. Mr. Kennedy is employed in an oil station inWinfield and after March 1, the young people will go to housekeepingon afarm near Winfield, where the best wishes of their many friends areextended for their future happiness.
