Pleasant, IA on Aug 16, 1911.
She died on Jun 23, 1992 in Ft. Madison, IA and was buried in Salem East Cemetery after Jun 23, 1992.

Elsie E. McVey, 99, of 926 Avenue F, Fort Madison, formerly of theSalem area, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 1992, at her home.
Born Feb. 5, 1893 in Henry County, she was the daughter of WilliamR.and Elnora Hockett Long. She married Forest L. McVey Aug. 16, 1911,inMount Pleasant. He died Feb. 25, 1992.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Fort Madison for the past 11 years.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth E. McVey of Winfield; threedaughters, Grace McDowell of Mount Pleasant, Ruth Isaacson of Stockport,and Leota Holland of Fort Madison; 13 grandchildren, 38great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, twograndchildren and a half-brother.
Friends may call as they desire after noon Thursday at the King-LynkFuneral Home in Fort Madison.
The graveside committal service for Mrs. McVey will be 2 p.m. Friday atthe Salem East Cemetery with the Rev. tom Palmer officiating.
A memorial has been established.
