West Burlington girl wins three Ellsworth scholarships

Sulene Nelson, daughter of Steven and Patricia Nelson of West Burlington,has been awarded an Ellsworth Leadership Scholarship ($400), an EllsworthMerit Scholarship ($400) and an Ellsworth Business Scholarship ($400) forthe 2001-2002 school year. She is a senior at West Burlington High Schooland will major in accounting. Ellsworth is a comprehensive communitycollege located in Iowa Falls.
BHS student captures national soccer honor
Sarah Cox, daughter of Lori and Darryl Cox of Burlington, has been nameda United States National Award winner in soccer by the United StatesAchievement Academy.
Cox, who attends Burlington High School, was nominated for this nationalaward by Susan Cohoon, a teacher and soccer coach at the school. Shewillappear in the United States Achievement Academy Official yearbook, whichis published nationally.
Cox is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Reeves and Mr. and Mrs.Maston Cox, all of Burlington.
