Mason B . Miller, son of Richard Isaac Miller and Ann Miller, was born Dec. 7, 1842 at Sarahville, Ohio.
He was married to Sarah A. Miller at Spavia, Ill. May 26, 1867, who preceded him in death nineteen years ago. To this union four children were born- Marion of Salem, Ia., Elmer of Vermont, Ill. Lucy living at home and Kate Halphin of Kansas City, Mo. Also six living grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mr. Miller served in the Civil war, being a member of Co. B. 122 Ohio volunteers. He was wounded in the battle of Winchester.
His father carefully taught him from God's Word and in early childhood he became a Christian. He was a member of the Friends church.
For twenty-six years he has made his home in Salem. He has been a sufferer for four years, and for many months has been confined to his bed.
He passed quietly away Monday morning, Feb. 6.
The funeral services were held in the Friends church Tuesday afternoon conducted by the pastor. Interment in the east cemetery.
