Doris McVey
Doris Jane McVey, 81, of the Fort Madison Health Center, died at 4:33 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.
Born May 6, 1921, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Harry and Ruth Reudy Waste. She married Dexter Eugene McVey Sept. 13, 1942, in Little Rock, Ark. He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Santa Fe United Methodist Church in Fort Madison.
Survivors include two sons, Gary McVey of Fort Madison, and Loren McVey of Lawrence, Kan.; two grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Harriet Huber of Freeman, S.D.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one son.
The body has been cremated. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Santa Fe United Methodist Church. KingLynk Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
