Otis H. Leffler
Otis H. Leffler, 76, Lockridge, died Wednesday, April 5, 1978, at Henry County Health Center.
He was born June 26, 1901, at Washington County, the son of Georgeand Nellie Houseal Leffler. On May 21, 1931, at Mt. Pleasant, He married Ruth O. McVey. She survives.
A retired farmer, Mr. Leffler had farmed 42 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Ronald E. of Fulton, Ill., and Kenneth E. of San Marcos, Calif.; three brothers, Arthur Leffler of Burlington, William Leffler of Columbus Junction and Homer Leffler of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. LaVerne Duncan of Muscatine and Mrs. Lorraine Humble of Cedar Rapids; half sister, Mrs. Bessie Hanft of Charleston, Ill.; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
His parents, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at Weir-Cookes Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8. The Rev. Lenwood Monte, pastor of the First Augustana Lutheran Church, Lockridge, will officiate with interment in the Salem East Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may call as they desire after noon Friday.
Those who wish may contribute to memorials to the Heart Fund or Cancer Society.
