Esther and Robert had nearly fifty wonderful years of joy, tears, and work together and 15 lovely grandchildren to help brighten their life's pathway before Robert was called to his Heavenly Home of Cancer of pancreas on March 7, 1973 at his home. Robert is buried on East central part of Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun, Ia. A grandchild Carol Diane Burkhiser, age 6 passed away of cancer September 22, 1969 buried at Middletown, Ia.
