The rural spelling contest for the pupils of Jackson twp., was held at Center school house last Sat. afternoon. Fifteen pupils entered the contest and in the written test the following ones did not miss a word: Elsie Bunker, Eunice McVey Mary Dawson, Anna Hannah, Jesse Frary, Leslie Pickard, Clem Bowers and Herman Garretson. In the final contest atMt. Pleasant Monday, we learn that Elsie Bunker, Eunice McVey, Anna Hannah and Leslie Pickard each won the five dollar prize.
